For me it was a surprise how big the range of prices can be here. I myself created sites, about 5 different ones on different sites (I wrote in html + php, I did it in joomla, wordpress, froggy, shopify). In any case, the cost of these sites fit mainly up to 500 euros of direct costs, but keep in mind that I spent several months of my personal time, and this can also be converted into money. For example, a site for daily rent (daily rental of real estate) cost completely different money. On it, I actually came up with airbnb, when it had not yet shot or was only in the plans. And with him began dancing with tambourines. He was on the wordpress site and I sculpted a real Frankenstein. It was a template site with a bunch of customized modules that are not freely available or had to be written to order. For example, we made a daily connection with airbnb, booking, hotels, expedia and an island somewhere in 1000 euro, but this is only one module. The total cost of the site, I would estimate the order 2500 thousands euro plus years of constant work on it.

Customization is tired
Once this customization bothered me. WordPress is vulnerable and needs to be constantly updated. But with them, such a misfortune that custom modules fall in almost 50% of cases and you have to look for conflicts and raise and restore everything manually. Sometimes it took me days of work. Therefore, I gathered good IT guys and talked about how we can make a clean and beautiful “airbnb” (I had all the terms of reference). They began to count. Simple and ready-made things like payment modules, of which a bunch of freely available free of charge had to be developed by ourselves from 0. As a result, we came to 120 000 euro and 6 months of systematic work.
IT people throw stones at me when they hear about wordpressa customizations, but, dear guys, no one needs your bike repetitions. The business has to ride the g and stick system for a while (keep in mind I'm talking about an internal system, it should still look like sweetie to the client), because right now this is the maximum good combination of efficiency and cost. Beautiful systems are not needed at the initial stage or they will take too long to develop that other competitors will simply overtake you. I personally know guys who have been sawing their ideal system for 5 years, which no one will need at the time of MVP.
Uniqueness is a magical science
But that's not all.
