Why do we need a broker today?

I know there are several brokers reading my profile. I apologize in advance, some of you are good professionals, but understand me in my practice, I have encountered too many incompetent individuals, hence a little discussion on this topic.

My view of the broker's

I will make a statement right away - I personally consider 99% of brokers to be parasites. I don't understand why they are needed at all. In my opinion, they earn on human fear and ignorance of some elementary things. But it would be nice if the deals were made with competent individuals who help and guide, but in my practice, for some reason, complete trash is happening every time.

My experience

Firstly, when I first bought a property in my life, I was completely shocked by the broker on the seller's side. Not a single condition of our agreements was fulfilled, a lot of oversights, which at the notary almost led to the failure of the transaction, and these were all some little things in terms of paying utility bills and the deadline for transferring real estate. The feeling that the broker was just trying to get the seller to sell the property and decided not to say some things. The notary was shocked that we frankly swore at the deal. Fortunately, I decided to give in some positions, and after the deal, the broker simply decided to say to me - “Sorry, the client was difficult.”

When do you sell real estate? They, like kites, flock to ads that say - "DIRECTLY FROM THE OWNER, BROKERS, PLEASE DO NOT DISTURB." But no, each of them considers it his duty to call you. They find their personality so gifted that they are convinced that they can lure you to the dark side. At the same time, they are not stingy to deceive that they already have a client who will buy more expensive. And let's meet and see the apartment together.

After all, they work in Estonia, where everything is open, where 99% of people are able to put up an ad on the Internet, and the notary on the transaction will chew everything up in detail, where banks protect customers and themselves and do not allow a trash deal to happen. What are they needed for? To take photos and advertise? Believe me, in the case of such private transactions, this is the only thing they do.

Why do broker's still exist?

And, unfortunately, their profession is not dying out. People move, children grow up, someone dies, business grows. All this gives life to investing in real estate or relocation. People are lazy, a younger generation is growing up that does not want to figure out how to make deals.
And of course the human factor and the experience of the "specialist". The work of a realtor gives a sense of security, and for people who invest money, this is important. This is extremely annoying.
I declare with confidence that every person is able to buy or sell an apartment by himself. You don't need any brokers in Estonia.

And how do brokers infuriate when renting real estate. They even sometimes do not read the contracts that they draw up or download from the Internet. One fruit had provisions for renting a boat in the middle of a regular 2-room apartment lease.

Unreasonably high income broker's

So the coolest thing. For drawing up such terrible contracts, brokers receive 400 euros (usually the cost of rent). Reading articles on business news, you can find out that some brokers receive 6-8k euros of salary every month. On one of my transactions, I already found out from a notary that the commission amounted to 4,5k euros! At the same time, the broker came, silently showed the apartment and the next time we also silently met at the notary. That's what I mean by hard work!

I'm not talking about cases where the broker is present both on the part of the buyer and the seller.

So forgive me all the brokers, but, perhaps, I don’t love you more than I love you. And I still have a few such stories, but it’s a pity that the post will turn out to be very long.

PS This cry from the heart does not apply to professionals in their field dealing with corporate real estate, acting more like a lawyer and knowing the laws and all the nuances of real estate like the back of their hand.
